Day 12 Tuesday 21 February 2006.Today from Huatulco on the coast through the mountains to Miahuatlan, then Xilapehua to San Jose Lachiguiri and back to Miahuatlan.

After again another very hot night, "Bertus sleep outside, but he is always an outsider", we go swimming in the sea and after thad we continue our trip. We drive through the mountains over the mex.175, at half way San Pedro Pochutla and Miahuatlan we make the first stop and high on the mountains we see a nice Agave species. After another 100km winding trip we stop by km114 and found under the trees another nice Agave specie with a very fat cone fromthe leave in the centre of the plant.(See the picture)

At Miahuatlan we take a side road to Xitlapehua and then San Jose Lachiguiri here we found also a different Agave species with a special end spike. The time is now over and we go back to Miahuatlan for the overnight stop in the Hotel Plaza Diamantina. In the restaurant in the centre we give our orders but the people after taking the order first they go shopping for a bottle of wine. But they forgot the corkscrew, a new problem for the owner of the restaurant. He tried to make the bottle open with a scew and pliers we must laugh in one's sleeve!
