Day 18. Monday 27 February 2006. From Izucar de Matamoros to Cuernavaca.

Chalcatzingo with an Agave species.

Today we first make a visit to Chalcatzingo, it is a temple complex found in the 1930. But the main course is to find a Mammillaria magnifica and also Agave species is growing there. It is a spectaculair site because of the mountains looks like an island in the deserts. After this very nice visit we take the road to Cuatla and than the Mex 115 to Tepoztlan. We see the Sierra Chichinautzin a 3000 meter high mountain. Through Tepoztlan going high until we reach San Juan Tlacotenoc. Here we stopped on the way and we are going to feed until we find first the Agave dasylerioides and then the beautiful Agave horrida. After this nice visit we are going to Cuernavaca and here it was not easy to find a Hotel.
