After a good nights sleep and a fresh shower (we are in Mexico) we spend all of today in the beautiful vally of Tehuacan. Driving out of the city taking the mex 125 to Zapotitlan Salinas there we have the most beautiful view into the valley. After driving15 km we make a stop and climb up a mountain, we are then in the valley with thouousands of Cephalocereus hoppenstedtii, now namend C. columna trajai , the other eye catcher is Beaucarnea gracilis. We also find a lot of Agaves, is A.kerchovei, with one also in flower. It was hot, very hot in this valley where, the rest of our trip the temperature was only high. We spend afew hours and then take the road tp zapotitlan. In the city there is a beautiful white church, after Zapotitlan we found Agave macroacantha. Also in the city we meet people from the Biostera Zapotitlan Salinas. We must buy a permit, and find time to visit the Botanical Garden. We take the correct way to Santa Ana Teloxtoc, and found nice plants of Agave stricta. Afterwards we return to Zapotitlan having to look for a Hotel and restaurant, the food looks good but next day the first man from our group started to besick. This was Andre, he had drinking to much fro a liquore, the owner of the restaurant had made this drink by himself, making it from the fruits of Myrtillocactus. The overnight stay in Hotel Sring Valley was good and the people were very nice. But before we went to bed there were not enough beds. Next morning we see that the staff from the Hotel sleeps on the floor, Bertus did not! Pict. 1 The Tehuacan-valley
